The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring trends and developments in the trust, securities and other wealth management industries to support the development and ongoing review of the HKMA’s relevant regulatory frameworks and policies
  • Assist in conducting on-site examinations and off-site surveillance of trust, securities and other wealth management businesses of Authorized Institutions (AIs)
  • Assist in liaising with local and overseas regulators and relevant industry bodies
  • Assist in handling applications relating to authorization, registration or licensing of AIs

Requirements

  • University degree in finance, banking, accountancy, law or related fields
  • Qualifications from relevant professional bodies in trust, banking, securities and insurance fields an advantage
  • Experience in trust, banking, securities or insurance operations, and compliance, audit or examination of such operations preferred
  • Good understanding of the trust, securities and insurance markets, and/or the financial and banking industry
  • Good analytical, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
