Cluster/Department: Development & Works Division, HA Head Office
**Pay:**HK$74,488 to HK$140,903 per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
The appointee will be responsible for the following main duties:
- Manage capital works projects and exercise close control on quality of works, project budget and expenditure.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with the contractor, the project team, and other parties on matters related to architectural details, materials and workmanship, builder’s work requirements, statutory compliance, contract requirements and issues related to site progress.
- Facilitate smooth interface between respective hospitals, government departments, contractors, professional consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor contractor’s progress according to the agreed programme, identify reasons for any delay and advise on necessary regulatory actions.
- Report to consultants as necessary on contractor’s progress, quality, safety & environmental performance and all other site related matters.
- Manage and monitor the preparation of contract documentations, cost plan, project programme, estimates, cash flow and final account.
- Attend site and co-ordination meetings.
- Inspect and witness site tests.
- Perform any other duties as required to facilitate implementation of capital works projects of the department.
Entry Requirements:
- Member/Corporate Member of a professional institution, i.e. the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Building Services Engineering disciplines or equivalent.
Preferable Attributes/Exposure:
- Considerable experience in handling major capital works projects.
- Conversant with Hong Kong construction and building related legislations and government procedures and policies on delivering public projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese, with good presentation skills.
- A high degree of self-motivation and strong organizational ability.
- Knowledge of MS Office, project management and database software.
