Reports to : Head of Cargo Network and Scheduling

This position will support Head of Cargo Network and Scheduling to formulate the optimal cargo network to drive system wide route profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct freighter network route studies and make recommendation on new route development, flight retime, routing changes etc.
• Analyse and evaluate freighter performance data. Identify problematic areas and recommend actions for improvements.
• Assist in the management of the implementation of the new freighter routes and changes made to the existing schedule / routing.
• Provide support for joint venture/business partnership opportunity projects.
• Develop market intelligence and forecast plans to assist with formulating Cathay Pacific (CX) Cargo’s long term network plans.
• Proactively look at market intelligence for translating into business opportunities.
• Provide cargo inputs for passenger aircrafts’ schedule, fleet and route studies.
• Prepare and formulate CX Cargo’s position to help Corporate Affairs present CX’s case to various Governments/Authorities regarding regulatory matters.
• Foster inter-team communications and drive value creation through business intelligence exchange.

Requirements

• Holder of a bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in airline management or in a similar role.
• Good business vision and commercial acumen.
• High proficiency with data and numbers.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement.
• Be trusted to appropriately handle commercially sensitive and confidential information.
