As a Garment Technical Manager, you role is to lead the technical team in the development and production of garments. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to travel to suppliers and factories as needed

Our client is a MNC Garment company with long history and great market reputation. They are now looking for a Garment Technical Manager to lead its Technical team for Garment Development & Production.

Description

• Lead and mentor the technical team, ensuring high performance and adherence to quality standards.
• Oversee the garment development process, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct pattern and fit evaluations to refine production processes.
• Collaborate closely with designers, merchandisers, and suppliers to optimise garment construction and execution.
• Develop and maintain technical guidelines and specifications to ensure consistency across products.
• Identify production challenges and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Travel domestically and internationally to suppliers and factories to monitor quality and troubleshoot production issues.

Profile

• Minimum 10+ years experience in garment technology, with a strong focus on knit and woven categories, preferably with experience in Sourcing Offices.
• Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams.
• Deep understanding of pattern making, fabric behaviour, sewing techniques, and garment assembly processes.
• Experience working with overseas production teams and suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to technical challenges.
• Ability to travel as needed to ensure quality control and production efficiency.
• Highly fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Proficiency in Gerber and Microsoft Office applications
