THE COMPANY :

• US garment trims brand owner & manufacturer
• Garment trims and accessories like metal snaps, zipper pullers, plastic buckles, cord locks and labels...etc for outdoor sports clothing brands
• Factories : Shenzhen, Shanghai, Vietnam and Europe
• Main market : US and Europe global brands
• We are looking for COLORANT ENGINEER - with details as follows :

THE JOB :

• Based on request of senior material specialist, develop new colorant formulation.
• Operates and maintain colorant production equipment and all auxiliary process equipment as required, such as extruder, liquid dosing system, etc.
• Provides clear and accurate process documentation and submits samples for testing. Conduct costing and the process of importation of the new developed coolant formulation.
• Help factories to setup workshop of colorant manufacturing for mass production. During the set-up period, as supporting, execute the manufacturing process and maintenance process of all related to the colorant manufacturing processes in person in the workshop if needed.
• Provide training to operators on colorant production.
• Help factories to tackle technical problems on colorant production.
• Observes colorant production process and makes minor adjustments as needed.
• Help factories to maintains a safe work environment for self and others.
• Occasional trips to factories in China and Vietnam for technical support.
• 5+ years relevant experience in colorant compounding, processing, characterization, and/or product development
• Tertiary education in related field such as chemical engineering or chemistry
• Familiar with theoretical chemical knowledge of various colorants.
• Experience with color matching and/or production is preferred.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of polymer extrusion/injection molding and industrial/mechanical equipment preferred
• High attention to detail and ability to work meticulously to observe and adjust processes and experiments as they progress
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and capability to identify improvements to current processes
• Fluent in English and Putonghua.
• 5 days work (Mon to Fri 9:00am-5:30pm)
• 13 months salary + performance bonus
• Annual leave : 12 days; add one day every year up to maximum 21 days
