Our client is an international asset management firm with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high calibre candidate to join them

Effectively manage a team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff to ensure that the legal needs of the business are being met with a high level of excellence, and providing leadership, oversight, advice and transaction management for regional legal affairs for the Asia businesses. Effectively manage legal services provided to the Asia business. Utilize appropriate control measures to manage the cost of these services, as well as outside counsel. Participate in new product developments; monitor and provide guidance on regulatory developments and industry best practices; maintain and enhance client relationships (including internal and external clients, counsel, service providers, etc. Assist senior management in making assessments concerning the regulatory and litigation risks of certain contemplated actions, provide advice on proactive steps to minimize litigation and regulatory risks.

To be considered, you should be a degree holder with significant experience and expert knowledge in asset management business. LLB or J.D. and admission to the Bar in an Asian jurisdiction required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and influence. Demonstrated leadership in the management and supervision of other staff. Ability to work independently, under substantial time pressure and competing goals. Experience with working, and ability to work effectively in, a matrix organization.
