Our client, a highly reputable Wine company, is seeking a talented and driven Regional Sales Manager to expand their presence in Asia. As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing importers, developing strategic plans, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. Description
- Achieve volume and value sales targets for the assigned countries.
- Manage importers effectively, establish performance targets, and ensure they are met.
- Develop comprehensive activity plans with distributors, focusing on key accounts to maximize sales and enhance brand equity.
- Identify and appoint non-assigned brands to new importers, expanding market reach.
- Cultivate quality contacts and connections within the Key HORECA segment, including sommeliers and F&B managers.
- Collaborate with distributors to improve management practices and enhance operational efficiency.
- Work towards improving margins by negotiating favorable value chains, optimizing product mix, and implementing price adjustments when necessary.
- Ensure timely communication and reporting to management regarding sales activities and market insights.
- Provide training and support to the distributor sales team, enhancing their skills and product knowledge.
- Participate actively as a valuable team member within the Asian team.
- Organize and participate in local events and tastings to promote the brand.
Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the wine industry, with a strong understanding of the sales process.
- Excellent business acumen with a deep understanding of value chains and promotional efficiency.
- Strong wine knowledge, preferably with professional wine training such as WSET Level 3 or Advanced Sommelier certification.
- Passion for wine and a well-established network within the wine industry.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and networking skills with a self-motivated and results-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strive for the highest standards of performance.
