EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in hotel’s operations and maintenance of which 3 years at managerial level
• Possess certified Engineer’s license
• Diploma or above in Engineering / Building services or related discipline

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of all engineering and maintenance areas
• Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must have command of the English/Cantonese languages, written and verbal
• Must have basic mathematical skills for report/forecast and other calculation.
• Must be able to organize time effectively and work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be experienced with current computer software programs and preferably hospitality software
• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in varying environments, both indoor and outdoor
• Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated and a team player

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Installs, maintains, repairs, and operates hotel machinery, equipment, and related systems

• Supervises all Engineering related areas and departmental personnel

• Maintains the entire building, inside out

• Develops and implements cost reduction, work simplification and method improvement programs

• Prepares and/or evaluates designs and specifications for all Engineering projects both in-house and via contractors

• Supervises installation and construction work

• Submits daily and/or periodic progress reports to General Manager

• Evaluates all engineering leases, contracts, and tenders

• Submits property enhancement proposal and makes recommendations for General Manager’s approval

• Ensures all engineering installations, constructions, and operations are comply with hotel and government agencies’ policy and audience

• Responsible for all hiring, termination, and disciplinary action of engineering staff members

• Controls all hotel keys and initiates required changes in assignment of keys to rooms.

• Approves requisitions and purchase orders for materials needed.

• Assists in the supervision of fire safety and implementation of programs.

• Prepares and submits attendance report for engineering department.

• Follows and facilities FLHSS (Fire Life Health Safety and Security) measures of Lanson Place Hospitality

• Possesses complete knowledge of hotel facilities and functions

• Scheduling and manpower planning

• Performs all other related duties as assigned by General Manager
