Job description
Established in 1963, Heep Hong Society is a leading children education and rehabilitation organisation committed to helping children and youth of diverse needs. We offer professional assessment, guidance, training and family support, thereby contributing to an inclusive society. Our 1,300+ strong team serve more than 15,000 families every year at over 60 service units, as well as mainstream kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.
Responsibilities:
- Develop finance strategy; participate in formulating the three year/ five year strategic plan and conduct financial projection in the short, medium and long term
- Oversee the finance functions including accurate and timely production of financial and management information reports, budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis
- Implement and maintain a system of internal controls procedures to deliver operational efficiencies, and to manage financial and business risk
- As member of senior management team and Head of Finance, leading the departmental staff to support the functionality of other departments and service development
- Monitor financial performance of various funding projects to ensure compliance with the accounting and reporting procedures of the funding bodies
- Provide treasury function/cash management for the organization and oversee the organization’s overall investment to ensure compliance with the organization’s investment policy
- Liaise with external parties such as auditors, lawyers, and bankers
- Serve as Secretary to the Finance Committee and to implement the policies decided
- Perform ad-hoc assignments as and when required
Requirements:
- University graduate in accounting or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years working experience in accounting at managerial level in sizable NGO preferable
- Certified Public Accountant
- Good organization and problem solving skills, good leadership and communication skills
