The Repulse Bay is seeking for a Head Gardener to oversee and manage our garden and landscaping operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee all aspects of garden management, including planning, planting, and maintenance to ensure the gardens are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing
  • Collaborate with external service providers, festive decoration companies, and in-house landscaping team to develop and implement garden design plans
  • Monitor and maintain the health of plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs, ensuring proper irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and pest control techniques are implemented
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe working environment
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with other departments and external parties
  • Manage external service providers, with a focus on capacity and quality management
  • Assist Executive Housekeeper in budget management and cost monitoring for annual landscaping activities

General Requirements

  • Formal education or certification in horticulture or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in arboriculture with 3 years in a leading position
  • In-depth knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and landscaping techniques
  • Familiarity with gardening equipment and tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Good command of both spoken and written Cantonese, English and Mandarin
