The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals is the largest charitable organization in Hong Kong. At present, we offer Medical and Health Services, Education Services and Community Services to the community with over 350 service centres spreading over the territory of Hong Kong.

Senior Assistant Project Manager (Property) (REF: A3/SAPM(P)/TL/PD/SCMPW)

Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Provide support to superiors in management and supervision of the Group’s construction, maintenance and renovation projects;
  • prepare feasibility study and design proposal for fitting-out works;
  • prepare consultancy agreements, tender documents, schedule of works and drawings for superiors’ approval;
  • attend site meetings, prepare inspection reports, monthly financial & progress reports and update project progress register, etc.;
  • invite quotations for renovation and minor repair works, analyze reports and recommend quotations received to superiors;
  • evaluate the consultants’ and contractors’ performance on the Group’s construction, maintenance and renovation projects;
  • certify and recommend payment for consultancy services, construction, renovation and maintenance works for superiors’ approval; and
  • perform any ad hoc duties and tasks as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • (a) a recognized first Degree or Diploma in Architectural Studies and a second Degree in Architecture or equivalent; or
    (b) a recognized Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent; and
  • at least 2 years’ relevant training and/or practical experience which meets the training requirements for Membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects or the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors or equivalent.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 1-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
