INDUSTRIAL CENTRE

Senior Engineer / Engineer (Ref. 240416017-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) facilitate student learning and development, and to develop corresponding curriculum and pedagogy;

(b) lead and coordinate student learning modules and subjects, and to promote teaching quality among colleagues;

(c) organise and conduct research support and knowledge transfer activities;

(d) implement strategic actions, regulations and procedures of the assigned technical Stream;

(e) organise and conduct essential operations of the assigned technical Stream;

(f) interact closely with stakeholders the University, industrial partners and clients; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Centre or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree in Electrical Engineering, New Energy or a related discipline;

(b) at least five years of work experience in engineering, preferably in innovation and technology nature. Experience in on-site development projects will be an advantage;

(c) sound knowledge of and experience in one of the following domains: electrical engineering, building services, sustainability or energy engineering; and

(d) a good command of written and spoken English.

Preference will be given to those with professional qualification, such as MHKIE.

Applicants with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for the post of Senior Engineer.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
