The Role As a newly created role in the HKUST’s Human Resources Office, the Senior Human Resources Manager (Talent Acquisition) being the Talent Acquisition Lead is responsible for building the Talent Acquisition team to provide seamless services and support and implement the Talent Acquisition strategy to attract the best talent for HKUST. Key responsibilities include:

  • Build a talent acquisition model and a high-performing talent acquisition team to attract the best and most diverse talent to the University;
  • Develop and implement the University's recruitment strategy, operations, and systems across departments;
  • Serve as a strategic partner and work closely with hiring managers, HRBPs, and cross-functional partners to ensure ongoing development of talent acquisition practices that align with our people strategy;
  • Manage recruitment vendors to optimize output and create a positive candidate experience;
  • Partner with the broader HR team to align operating models, tackle challenges and team projects, and facilitate alignment and collaboration across teams.

The Candidate The successful candidate will be a seasoned and innovative talent acquisition leader. Desired attributes include:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in human resources, business, organizational development, industrial/organizational psychology, or other related disciplines;
  • 10+ years of experience leading talent acquisition teams with progressive experience in full lifecycle talent acquisition management;
  • Ability to plan and execute the overall recruiting strategy, from TA capacity planning, employer branding, candidate management, sourcing for diversity to quality control of various stages of the talent acquisition processes;
  • Strong end-to-end process thinking and management, with the ability to effectively leverage technology to drive and enhance efficiency and effectiveness of Talent Acquisition processes;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create, measure and scale the right metrics to drive recruiting efficiencies.
  • Experience in managing and leading change projects.

The post is a full-time appointment, normally for an initial term of 2 years, and renewable subject to mutual agreement. Competitive compensation and fringe benefits will be provided.
