Since 1965, New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association is dedicated to recovery-oriented, people-focused and evidence-based community mental health service development. The Association, with a team of over 1,000 staff members, operates more than 70 service units and projects to render residential services, employment and vocational training, community support for 18,000 people in recovery with mental illness (PIR) and their families, as well as provide mental health education to 78,000 general public annually. As a result of our passionate belief in social inclusion and self-reliance for PIR , we have established different social enterprises with over 20 projects operating currently promoted the well-being message under the brand “330", which in Cantonese carries the homophonous meaning “body, mind and spirit" – the balance of which we all strive to attain.

HKJC Stop-gap Measures for Timely Intervention and Crisis Management Project

Responsibilities:

  • To provide case intake and clinical casework services in which cases are assigned by Project-in-charge or Supervisor;
  • To provide mindfulness practices and conduct wellness workshops in communities and primary and secondary schools;
  • To collaborate with team members to design and conduct mental health related programs;
  • To assist and support service protocol development, logistics arrangement on casework services, mental wellness education and other promotion activities, as well as the training and practicum for students and carer throughout the project; and
  • To provide timely follow up and support to the participants for arrangement and monitoring their practicum schedule.

Requirements:

  • RSW with Bachelor of Social Work or above;
  • At least 3-year or above social service experience with Casework, Child or Youth Work or Mental Health Service experience are preferable;
  • Mindfulness training is preferable; and
  • Ability to build up service network with stakeholders or collaborators.
