Job description

We are located within Harbour City in the heart of the commercial, shopping and entertainment district, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. We invite applications for the following position:

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Engineering to supervise the daily operations of Engineering in three Marco Polo Hotels in Hong Kong and attend meetings in the absence of Director of Engineering
• Assist in effective planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs
• Supervise and direct all staff in the department to carry out their tasks effectively in compliance with the hotel policies and procedures
• Responsible for handling daily documents such as operation licenses, E&M certificate renewal, maintenance agreement, tendering and inspection records conducted by government, and related remedial actions
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and required certifications
• Maintain track records for all building services, equipment, parts, and supplies
• Analyze and monitor department budgets and expenditure progress, including the consumption of energy for hotel utilities

Requirements

• Degree holders in Building Services / Engineering or related disciplines
• At least 8 years of experiences in hotel engineering operation. Experience of managing multi-properties in hospitality industry is an advantage
• Solid knowledge in all-rounded Engineering daily operations, services and related ordinance
• Knowledge in AutoCAD/MS Office is preferred
• Post qualification experience with Membership of MBSOMES / MHKIE / MCIBSE or equivalent professional association memberships will be an advantage
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Less experience candidate will be considered for the position of Senior Technical Manager
