Job description

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of operations processes in the day-to-day operations of back office processing, life-cycle events, clearing and settlements of Treasury Products, margin / collateral management and transaction reporting
  • Comply with HKMA/Regulatory standards and internal policy and procedure
  • Handle exceptions and issues in an orderly manner and escalate as appropriate
  • Liaise with internal / external stakeholders to carry out the duties efficiently and effectively
  • Participate in projects regarding product launch or system enhancement and other regulatory initiatives; undertake ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Ensure the process flow is efficient and adopt the relevant technology (eg. RPA) as appropriate
  • Prepare/review management reports, regulatory and compliance reports for Treasury related business
  • Assist management to maintain and update operational policies & procedures, including contingency plan or any other tasks as assigned
  • PRC business trips may be required
  • Provide business support on HK holidays where applicable

Requirements

  • Degree holder or above with good business acumen
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience with strong product knowledge, regulatory requirements and guidelines in Treasury Products (including FX/MM, debt securities, repo, cleared / OTC derivatives etc.)
  • Good knowledge of market best practice and familiar with the Settlement & Confirmation process of Treasury Products, including common industry infrastructure (eg. SWIFT, RTGS, Euroclear, Clearstream, CMU etc.)
  • Good understanding of treasury products documentation (ISDA definitions, CSA, GMRA etc.), reporting requirements (HKTR), central clearing practices, margining requirements, risk mitigation measures and other regulatory and compliance requirements for Treasury business
  • Strong drive and commitment, hardworking, excellent ability in problem solving, able to perform under pressure and deliver on schedule
  • Open for change and believe in team work
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
  • Knowledgeable in general PC applications (Word & Excel), VBA and Macro knowledge would be an advantage
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for a junior position
