The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is responsible for the provision of desirable services for students of the University and enhancing their learning experience. The appointee will join a dynamic team dedicated to fostering whole-person development and a vibrant campus life of students.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sports teams and coordinate their business, e.g. ensuring effective communication and collaboration with coaches, advising team captains and facilitating their assumption of roles, and responding to stakeholders’ enquiries and requests
  • Work with coaches and captains to organise training sessions, competitions, and other physical wellness events so as to maintain smooth operation and optimal performance of the sports teams
  • Assist in the recruitment and admission of elite athletes and provide professional assistance for them
  • Represent the University to serve as competition convenors and member of the relevant committees in the University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China (USFHK)
  • Work outside normal office hours, including weekends, when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements

  • A recognised degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in the tertiary institutions or recognised organisations
  • Extensive experience in organising sports, recreational and physical wellness activities, and managing sports team affairs
  • Familiarity with relevant sports regulations, safety protocols, and best practices
  • An excellent mastery of logical thinking, analytical, interpersonal, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • A strong sense of responsibility
  • Able to work under stress and achieve common goals of the University
  • Interested in working for and with young people

Candidates with less/more experience will be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
