RESEARCH AND INNOVATION OFFICE

Assistant Director / Senior Manager (Ref. 240424002-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) assist the Director of Research and Innovation in cultivating relationships with the University’s scholars and researchers to promote the University’s research;

(b) develop and implement promotional and editorial strategies that align with the University’s branding and research development;

(c) review and edit a variety of written materials, such as articles, newsletters, case studies, social media posts, etc., to ensure alignment with the University's branding and strategic messaging;

(d) keep track of current trends and developments in the research and innovation sectors so as to enhance the visibility of the University’s research;

(e) lead the editorial team and uphold the highest standard and quality of its outputs; and

(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree with at least ten years of solid managerial experience in leading the editorial/marketing team, preferably within a research or innovation context;

(b) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

(c) be proactive with a creative and strategic mindset;

(d) be able to work independently and as a team player;

(e) be highly self-motivated, adaptable and capable to manage multiple projects under pressure; and

(f) exhibit a robust understanding of branding and messaging, coupled with exemplary communication and collaborative skills.

Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Senior Manager.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
