We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Public Affairs Office:

Assistant Public Affairs Manager (PAO) (Ref. : 24000QS)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Public Affairs or his/her nominee(s), the appointee shall be responsible for supporting the Public Affairs Office and its Public Relations (PR) Team in the following duties:

  • Being a key member in media relations to develop and maintain close network with the media to help boost the University’s publicity and support the University in managing media relations in case of issues;
  • Managing, updating and maintaining the University’s website, and arrange publicity for the University on various social media platforms;
  • Planning and executing initiatives on publicity in collaboration with the media for enhancing the University’s brand image;
  • Planning and managing corporate events for the University, as well as provide support to key events of Schools/Departments for boosting the University’s publicity;
  • Handling general enquiries and liaising with internal and external parties; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Public Affairs or his/her nominee.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A recognised degree with at least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua is an added advantage);
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and computer literacy, preferably with solid experience in arranging publicity in social media;
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and can-do spirit; and
  • Good communication, multi-tasking and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and complete tasks independently.

Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
