Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy:

    • Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the IT team, ensuring alignment with business needs.
    • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in IT processes and systems.
  • Development:

    • Lead software development initiatives, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions are delivered.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Oversee the development life cycle, including coding standards, testing, and deployment.
  • Infrastructure:

    • Manage and optimize the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems.
    • Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure to support business operations.
    • Implement best practices for infrastructure management and security.
  • Project Management:

    • Lead and oversee IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Cyber Security:

    • Develop and implement robust cyber security measures and protocols.
    • Stay updated on the latest cyber security trends and threats, and proactively address vulnerabilities.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within the IT department of a medium to large size organization, preferably in the life insurance industry.
  • Strong expertise in software development, infrastructure management, project management, and cyber security.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
