Client Details

Our client is a well-known Insurance company in Hong Kong

To cope with their business growth, they are currently hiring a Principal Data Scientist as a senior member of the advanced analytics team to perform customer analytics, develop and scale innovative NLP/ML/DL algorithms to normalize data insights from unstructured data, which focus on marketing, customer & sales journey. The candidate is strong in communication who can line up data with dots, storytelling to the leaders for facilitating business decisions of the group.

Description

• Work closely with business teams to identify needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive growth
• Hands-on with advanced customer analytics facilitating effective targeting, segmentation, identification of cross-sell / up-sell opportunities, retention, marketing program optimization, operational efficiencies and inforce management
• Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end Machine learning and deep learning model,
• Develop and scale innovative algorithms to derive data insights from unstructured data
• Write test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of the code/ model
• Turn data into insight, make presentation/ storytelling to the senior leaders for facilitating business decisions
• Work closely with IT to support ongoing Azure cloud migration concerning analytics data validation to maintain ata integrity
• Be upbeat with the trends in the analytics, emerging technologies and GenAI space; collaborates with the team to incorporate new ideas and tools in current and future strategies

Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics or relevant disciplines
• At least 5+ years experience as Data Scientist
• Experienced with advanced customer analytics
• Experience in end to end machine learning and deep learning model design and development, capable in turning data into insight for customer targeting, segmentation, cross-sell/up-sell, retention, campaign/ marketing analysis etc.
• Experience with at least one machine learning library (Keras, Tensor flow, Caffe, or PyTorch)
• Hands-on with Python
• Experience in NLP, NER, Entity Disambiguation, and Information Extraction.
• Experience in data migraiton to cloud is a plus
• Experience with GenAI a plus
• Good understanding of data crawling, extracting, and processing (Scrapy, pandas, Map Reduce, SQL, Beautiful Soup, etc)
• Candidates from insurance background is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills in Chinese and English (both spoken and written)
