Responsibilities

  • Strive to represent The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong and Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel in a professional, courteous, efficient manner.
  • Manage the Cluster Sales Team, operating with clear performance and activity goals, and using effective systems to drive productivity and track team performance.
  • Supervises preparations and definition of the marketing plan and manual for the department and participates in setting up the marketing policies, procedures and objectives.
  • Evaluates the hotel’s participation in the various sales channels and develops strong working relationships to proactively position and market the hotel.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key clients and influencers to ensure strong business return and an optimum reputation across the industry.
  • Develop and implement short and long-term sales strategies for the business, to ensure revenue and room night goals are achieved, sales strategies are set, tactical plans are created and implemented, and results are monitored and achieved.
  • Maximize occupancy for rooms and hospitality spaces, associated yields and market profile for the hotel.
  • Align with the Business Analysis & Distribution Management Department and the Marketing team on segment priorities, available need periods and opportunities to subsequently develop strategies that drive top-line revenues.
  • Provide market intelligence on booking trends, customer feedback and competitor activity.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners and tourism organization that bring value to the business.
  • Handles budgets for sales activities and promotions.
  • Proposes ideas for promotional materials to be distributed during sales calls, trade shows and for other promotional activities.
  • Sets up the corporate rates for local / international companies / travel trade accounts as well as other commercial accounts.
  • Determines overall marketing campaign ROI. Monitors and reviews the response rates in order to improve and take corrective measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, sales, marketing or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in both oral and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies.
  • A self-starter who is highly driven, goal-oriented and adaptable to change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, influencing skills and networking abilities.
