RESEARCH AND INNOVATION OFFICE
Manager (Ref. 240425001-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) proactively engage with the University’s scholars and researchers to develop a continuous stream of content and focus on transforming complex academic findings into compelling and easy-to-digest stories for a broad audience;
(b) create and edit a variety of written materials, such as articles, newsletters, case studies, social media posts, etc., to ensure high-quality outputs and align with the University's branding and strategic development;
(c) assist in the development of promotional materials and strategies to enhance the visibility of the University’s research;
(d) keep track of up-to-date knowledge of current trends and developments in the research and innovation sectors to enhance publications; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years of solid experience in writing and storytelling at supervisory level, preferably within a research or innovation context;
(b) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) be proactive with a creative and strategic mindset;
(d) be able to work independently and as a team player;
(e) be highly self-motivated, adaptable and capable to manage multiple projects under pressure; and
(f) exhibit a robust understanding of branding and messaging, coupled with exemplary communication and collaborative skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
