Job description

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data on economic conditions that affect the Bank’s business (e.g., inflation, national debt);
• Prepare reports discussing economic forecasts and their impact on the industry and the organization;
• Produce economic papers to assist management in its investment decision and strategy making process;
• Provide advice on a variety of economic issues and country risk provisioning reports;
• Forecast economic and financial indicators and conduct stress test under different economic scenario.

Requirements

• Minimum of a University graduate in Economics. A master degree or above is preferred;
• Ideally 2-5 years’ related working experience;
• Excellent command of English and Cantonese. Ability to converse in Mandarin a positive;
• Good analytical and numerical skills;
• Self-motivated and able to work independently;
• Express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing;
• Team player with effective interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationship with others;
• Manage projects including adhering to the project schedule, identifying problems and developing resourceful solutions.
