Job description
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
- To manage the operation of the URA's hotline service to ensure efficient and high-quality handling of all public enquiries, requests and complaints in accordance with the URA's performance pledges
- To handle copywriting and production of an electronic newsletter
- To serve as a bilingual editorial writer to draft various communication materials, including speeches, feature stories, commentaries, scripts for videos and other articles that positively convey URA's message
- To research and develop feature stories to promote the URA's initiatives and work
- To supervise daily news monitoring duties
- To perform other corporate communications and media-related duties as required
Requirements:
- Degree holder, preferably in Communication or related disciplines
- At least 8 years' relevant experience with proven track record in Corporate Communications/ PR / Marketing, with at least 5 years in supervisory role
- Hands-on experience in production of PR / publicity literature
- Good verbal & written communication skills in English & Chinese
- Attentive to details, team player with good interpersonal skill
- Experience in customer relations and handling of public enquiries / complaints would be an advantage
- Preferably with good knowledge of urban renewal and housing issues of Hong Kong
