Senior Finance Manager / Finance Manager (Special Projects) (23240462)

The appointee is expected to assist the Associate Director of Finance (Special Projects) in driving the transformation journey and various initiatives/projects in the Office.

Responsibilities:

• Drive finance transformation, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a successful implementation;
• Oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis and system implementation;
• Assess and evaluate existing financial processes and policies and identify areas for improvement;
• Act as a strategic partner, collaborating with various departments / academic units and offering financial advice to support decision making processes;
• Develop and maintain financial reporting frameworks and implement financial dashboard;
• Continuous review and enhance the efficiency of financial reporting processes, implementing best practices and automation tools where applicable;
• Analyse financial performance and drive cost efficiency;
• Support special projects with financial model and scenario analysis;
• Review and provide comments on agreements to ensure compliance, mitigate risks and protect University’s interests; and
• Perform tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• Qualified Accountant with relevant certification;
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience (those with less work experience will be considered as Manager);
• Experience working in planning and analysis / internal control is preferred;
• Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
• Strong computer literacy in Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Hyperion and Power BI.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Work Location: Tsuen Wan Campus (Address: Riviera Gardens, No. 2-12 Yi Lok Street, Tsuen Wan, NT)

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 to 3 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
