Research Associate (TCM-driven mental wellness hub) (23240170)

Project introduction:
TCM-driven Mental Wellness Hub is a platform providing evidence-based Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preventive and treatment services for the high-risk population and patients with common mental disorders in the community. The platform fosters interdisciplinary pilot cooperation between TCM and counselling, which enhances capacity building, research development, and network collaboration.

The appointee will be responsible for conducting clinical study of Chinese Medicine and mental health.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of research studies, including recruitment and follow-up of study participants, data collection and management, data analysis, and database set-up;
  • Conducting literature reviews and contributing to the development of research protocols and manuscripts;
  • Assisting with the preparation of grant applications and reports;
  • Assisting with the development of educational materials;
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of research activities and data;
  • Ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements for human subject research; and
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A postgraduate degree in the relevant fields such as psychology or Chinese Medicine;
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical research experience;
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other research-related software; and
  • Possessing a practising certificate of a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong will be an added advantage.

Those with relevant research experience will be preferred.

The appointee will be required to work on weekends and/ or public holidays.

The initial appointments will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
