As an Actuarial Manager specializing in HKRBC, Reporting. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing strategic insights into our risk management practices. You will lead a team responsible for analyzing, reporting, and interpreting HKRBC data, collaborating closely with various departments to optimize capital management strategies and support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and submission of HKRBC reports to regulatory authorities in accordance with prescribed timelines and standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of actuaries and analysts to ensure accurate and efficient completion of HKRBC reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Risk Management, and Product Development, to gather relevant data and insights for HKRBC calculations and reporting.
- Conduct thorough analyses of HKRBC results, identifying key trends, drivers, and areas for improvement in capital management practices.
- Stay abreast of regulatory updates and changes in HKRBC requirements, assessing their potential impact on the company and recommending appropriate actions.
- Develop and maintain robust documentation of HKRBC methodologies, assumptions, and models, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Drive process enhancements and automation initiatives to streamline HKRBC reporting workflows and improve efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert on HKRBC reporting matters, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree or actuarial credentials (e.g., FSA, FIA, ASA) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in life insurance actuarial roles, with a focus on regulatory reporting, preferably in the Hong Kong market.
- Strong understanding of HKRBC framework, regulations, and reporting requirements, with proven experience in HKRBC calculations and reporting.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages (e.g., Prophet, Excel, VBA, SQL) for data analysis, modeling, and reporting purposes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
- Leadership experience, including the ability to manage and develop a team of actuaries and analysts.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
