As an Actuarial Manager specializing in HKRBC, Reporting. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing strategic insights into our risk management practices. You will lead a team responsible for analyzing, reporting, and interpreting HKRBC data, collaborating closely with various departments to optimize capital management strategies and support business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the preparation and submission of HKRBC reports to regulatory authorities in accordance with prescribed timelines and standards.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of actuaries and analysts to ensure accurate and efficient completion of HKRBC reporting tasks.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Risk Management, and Product Development, to gather relevant data and insights for HKRBC calculations and reporting.
  4. Conduct thorough analyses of HKRBC results, identifying key trends, drivers, and areas for improvement in capital management practices.
  5. Stay abreast of regulatory updates and changes in HKRBC requirements, assessing their potential impact on the company and recommending appropriate actions.
  6. Develop and maintain robust documentation of HKRBC methodologies, assumptions, and models, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory standards.
  7. Drive process enhancements and automation initiatives to streamline HKRBC reporting workflows and improve efficiency.
  8. Act as a subject matter expert on HKRBC reporting matters, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree or actuarial credentials (e.g., FSA, FIA, ASA) preferred.
  2. Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in life insurance actuarial roles, with a focus on regulatory reporting, preferably in the Hong Kong market.
  3. Strong understanding of HKRBC framework, regulations, and reporting requirements, with proven experience in HKRBC calculations and reporting.
  4. Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages (e.g., Prophet, Excel, VBA, SQL) for data analysis, modeling, and reporting purposes.
  5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
  6. Leadership experience, including the ability to manage and develop a team of actuaries and analysts.
  7. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
