Founded in 1908, Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 3328) is one of the oldest banks in China, and also acted as one of the country’s banknote-issuing institutions. The bank was listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the Shanghai Stock Exchange in June 2005 and May 2007 respectively. At present, apart from Tibet, BOCOM comprises 30 provincial branches across provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, plus a network of 2,637 operating locations in 173 cities and 112 counties nationwide. Beyond China, BOCOM has established overseas centers in Hong Kong, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, Frankfurt, Macau, Ho Chi Minh City, and Sydney; one subsidiary bank in the U.K. and one representative office in Taipei. Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of annual audit plan
• Plan, supervise, perform and complete audit assignments based on risk assessment and preliminary evaluation of internal controls
• Manage and complete audit assignments according to annual audit plan
• Identify root cause of the weaknesses, recommend internal control improvements to various units and prepare audit reports for management
• Perform follow-up review/verification on the effectiveness and timeliness of remedial actions taken for the findings raised by the regulators, internal and external audit
• Carry out special investigation projects and other ad hoc assignments whenever required

Requirements

• Degree holder or above in Accounting, Business Administration or Banking & Finance or equivalent qualifications
• Holders of professional qualification of HKICPA, CIA, FRM or equivalent qualifications are preferred
• Minimum 10 years’ audit experience, preferably in the banking sector or professional firms
• Sound knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
• Good knowledge of major banking processes and related regulatory requirements
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
