Job Posting Details The Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics & Operations Management seeks candidates for an Instructional Assistant position. The appointee will

• assist in tutorials or laboratory teaching.
• assist course instructors to design and develop teaching materials, grade assignments, coordinate students’ submission of assignments, manage students’ attendance, and provide logistical support for activities that are required for the courses.
• assist in other course preparation and delivery as assigned by the Department.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, business analytics, or a related discipline. Experience in using Python for statistical analysis is required and knowledge of statistical tools and software (e.g. R, SAS) is highly preferred. Relevant teaching experience in Python, business statistics, regression model, or analytics will be an advantage. A high level of English proficiency, and good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are essential. Working outside normal office hours may be required. (Duration: 1 year, renewable) Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
