We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Office of Research Affairs and Knowledge Transfer:

Assistant Project Manager – MetroGBA (ORA) (Ref: 2500109)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Providing support to funding applications, programme administration and logistics, and prepare relevant reports and summary lists required;
  • Developing and maintaining a strong network of contacts within the start-up community, including founders, investors, and incubators/ accelerators;
  • Developing and executing comprehensive programme plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation;
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to define programme goals, objectives, and deliverables;
  • Facilitating effective communication with the startups and different stakeholders;
  • Providing regular status updates, ensuring transparency and alignment with organisational goals;
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices;
  • Planning, coordinating and managing programme-related events;
  • Liaising with government authorities and internal parties with regard to the programme progress; and
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • Strong relevant work experience in entrepreneurship and startup incubation programmes;
  • Familiar with startup ecosystem, funding management, startup development progress monitoring and report preparation, programme management;
  • A recognized bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience;
  • Detail-minded, self-motivated, with strong sense of responsibility and positive work attitude;
  • Good communication, interpersonal, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Able to work independently and as well as in a team in a multi-task environment;
  • Good computer, numeracy and data analysis skills; and
  • A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
