Cluster/Department: Development & Works Division, HA Head Office

Pay: HK$158,552 to HK$182,669 per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager will lead a team of in-house professionals to ensure high standards of safety and quality on construction works. The appointee will be responsible for the following key duties:

1. Oversee safety, health and environmental pollution control aspects of construction works to ensure strict adherence with statutory, contractual and organisational requirements.
2. Manage regular audits of construction sites and provide recommendations to project teams to enhance safety, health and environmental pollution control performance, and report non-compliance issues to senior management.
3. Supervise the quality assurance system to ensure adherence to contractual and organisational standards.
4. Conduct periodic quality checks at construction sites and provide recommendations to project teams for improving quality of works, and report non-compliance issues to senior management.
5. Stay updated on the latest industry standards and practices, developing applicable procedures and guidelines related to quality, safety, health and environmental pollution control aspects in construction projects.
6. Oversee and facilitate the certification process for the ISO quality management system within the division.
7. Any other duties as required to ensure implementation of quality, safety, health and environmental pollution control standards and systems for the division including job rotation to other relevant post within and outside the division.

Entry Requirements:

1. Member / Corporate Member of a professional institution, i.e. the Hong Kong Institute of Architects or the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Building Services Engineering disciplines or equivalent with at least 10 years’ post qualification experience.
2. Practical experience of project management for large scale capital works projects.
3. Exemplary professional competency, conduct and ethics.
4. Sound knowledge of construction contract management.
5. Conversant with Hong Kong construction and building related legislations and government procedures on delivering public projects.
6. Ability to communicate and present effectively in both English and Chinese.
7. A high degree of independence, self-motivation, leadership and organizational ability.
8. Knowledge of MS Office, project management and database software.
