We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences for the following post(s):
Research Nurse (at the rank of Manager) (N&HS) (Ref: 2500179)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointees will mainly assist with the "Jockey Club 'BaMa Chill Club' Perinatal Support Project" project. The appointees will be responsible primarily for the following:
- Recruit participants for the project;
- Liaise with community parties and partner institutions;
- Carry out phlebotomy duties;
- Draft reports and presentations relevant to the project;
- Provide consultation to participants;
- Perform administrative tasks and any other duties as assigned to support the operation of the project; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized degree with at least 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience;
- Professional registration/licensure with relevant Boards/Councils as appropriate;
- Experience in blood taking is preferable;
- Working experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or Pediatrics is preferable;
- Strong communication skills;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Able to work independently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team;
- Have a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and good coordination, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills;
- Experience in participating in large-scale community/research projects would be an advantage; and
- Immediately available is highly preferred.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates. Generous annual leave, staff-development sponsorships, medical and dental benefits, and life insurance coverage will also be provided. The contract will be initially for 12 months with the possibility of renewal.
