As the IT Procurement Manager for Infrastructure at Cathay Pacific Airways, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and executing the category and sourcing strategies for IT Infrastructure. You will lead a team responsible for sourcing, supply management, and procurement for the airline, ensuring that we optimize cost, select the best suppliers, and achieve excellent supplier performance.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, both within the company and externally. You will be responsible for managing, administering, and supervising Cathay Pacific's IT infrastructure and security acquisition in accordance with established procurement rules. You will also oversee contract negotiations, ensure the highest level of ethics and compliance, and guarantee that our procurement policies and procedures meet internal and external compliance requirements around diversity, social responsibility, and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• As the IT Procurement Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
• Define and implement sourcing, procurement, and commercial strategies relating to IT Infrastructure.
• Conduct global, regional, and local market analysis to identify emerging trends and develop new strategies to effectively leverage or mitigate their impact on the company.
• Develop and manage relationships with key software suppliers and other organizations that influence market direction.
• Restructure the current procurement operating model to enable maximum leverage and utilization of the cross-category team in all transactional and commodity purchasing activities.
• Engage with business stakeholders to drive further efficiencies through the use of cross-functional category support.
• Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best price while maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and service.
• Lead engagement with BU stakeholders, challenge specifications, and manage BU demand.
• Negotiate contractual arrangements with suppliers to ensure that value for money and service levels are optimized.
• Demonstrate compliance with procurement processes regarding sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, and contract management.
• Manage a team of Assistant Managers, providing leadership, coaching, and development.

Requirements

• University graduate in related discipline.
• 5 years' relevant experience.
• Procurement and Category Management experience is essential.
• Ability to adapt and learn rapidly to be able to talk the language of the stakeholders.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and basic contract law.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Ability to inspire, and build trust and respect among the APD community.
• Excellent people skills; including the ability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to define and implement strategies.
• Approachable and decisive.
