General Role:

Responsible for the commercial development of Hermès products in Hong Kong and Macau. Develops and implements product strategy. Maximizes market opportunities, business growth and increases overall product profitability and which also aligns with the global direction and positioning of the brand. Coordinates with inter-departments to achieve business objectives and ensures the smooth workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Merchandising Manager and Boutique Managers to formulate and implement product strategy including product assortment, placement order and inventory control
  • Communicates the product strategy and story behind the collections to the retail staff in all boutiques and collaborate with them to achieve commercial objectives
  • Prepares product briefs and reports about seasonal strategies, product directions and market initiatives to management
  • Prepares at least two seasonal buying trips per year namely Pre-collection & Podium (OTB Budget)
  • Organizes and prepares product listing in accordance with Hermès policy
  • Monitors and analyses product performance and sales trends
  • Analyses market trends, identifies current and potential market opportunities by conducting market research and competitors’ visits
  • Works closely with the Communication department to develop public relations exposure by communicating product features, benefits and consumer appeal
  • Works closely with Visual Presentation department to ensure an excellent in-store display with a focused and appropriate product assortment
  • Spends time in stores providing advice and direction to Sales Team, collecting feedback to analyze customer needs as well as monitoring effective execution of product plans in retail stores
  • Assists management in preparing the seasonal and annual budgets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree preferably in Fashion, Business or other related field
  • A minimum of 5 years applicable retail experience
  • Strong fashion sense and conscious business
  • Proactive nature, with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and foster teamwork across multiple levels and departments within the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Fluency in English, Chinese and Mandarin. Proficiency in French is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
