Reporting to Assistant Technical Support Manager, the Technical Services Engineer provides technical advice and solution to customer and problem resolution. The incumbent will also develop capability per business need.

What You’ll Do

• Review Technical Data such as Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletin (SB) and Engine Manual (EM), and make recommendation to customer then plan engine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance within HAECO and overseas
• Liaise with Engine Manufacturers, vendors and customer to resolve technical issues
• Analyse and identify defects, provide technical advice and solution to customer and problem resolution
• Interpret technical procedures, engineering diagrams, manuals and publications
• Coordinate and interact with various departments and partners to accomplish maintenance work
• Able to design and provide specification for specialized equipment and tooling to meet new or expand existing shop capabilities
• Establish and maintain good business relationship with customers
• Others workshop duties and project as assigned

What You Need

1. Functional and other Relevant Experience

• Currently holding a valid HKAR-66 Category B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence with type ratings and authorization on 3 or more of the following Aircraft/Engine types :
  • B747-400 / RB211-524GHT PW4056 CF680C2
  • B747-8 / GEnx-2B
  • B767 / CF680 PW4000
  • B777 / Trent 800 GE90
  • B787 / Trent 1000 GEnx-1B
  • A330 / Trent 700
  • A350 / Trent XWB
• OR A degree holder from a recognized university. Major in aeronautical, mechanical or other relevant engineering disciplines will definitely be an advantage
• Minimum 4 years of experience in all aspects of aircraft maintenance including servicing, inspections, defect troubleshooting, repair and rectification, and maintenance certification

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

• Solid off wing engine maintenance experience for engine modification implementation, borescope inspection and services check will definitely be an advantage
• Experience in compiling aircraft maintenance/aircraft parts repair paperwork or experience in engine/component repair is an advantage
• Strong project management skills and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and good team player
• Ability to work under pressure with good decision making
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English
