Project Manager (HW Maintenance Service)

Job Overview: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects within our organization. You will coordinate with different teams, stakeholders, and resources to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Your role will involve planning, executing, and evaluating project progress while effectively communicating with all involved parties to ensure smooth project delivery.

Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership:
o Provide leadership and guidance to a team of project professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence;
o Set clear expectations for performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and development opportunities;
o Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
• Project Planning:
o Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements;
o Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and success criteria;
o Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies;
o Establish project budgets and allocate resources accordingly.
• Project Execution:
o Lead project teams, assigning tasks, and ensuring accountability;
o Monitor project progress, track milestones, and adjust plans as needed;
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution;
o Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Risk Management:
o Identify potential risks and proactively implement risk mitigation strategies;
o Monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle and address issues promptly;
o Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Communication:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications;
o Facilitate effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and leadership;
o Provide regular project status updates through reports, meetings, and presentations.
• Quality Assurance:
o Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements;
o Conduct regular reviews and quality checks to identify and address issues;
o Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Resource Management:
o Coordinate with resource managers to allocate personnel and equipment as needed;
o Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments to optimize efficiency;
o Identify opportunities for resource optimization and cost savings.
• Stakeholder Management:
o Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels;
o Address stakeholder concerns and ensure their expectations are met;
o Seek feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve project processes.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
o Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track project performance and progress;
o Monitor project status, budget adherence, and risk exposure, and take corrective actions as needed;
o Prepare regular project status reports and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Technical Support:
o Provide technical support to end-users regarding hardware-related issues;
o Assist users in configuring hardware devices and peripherals;
o Offer guidance and recommendations for hardware upgrades or replacements.

Qualifications:
⚫ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience);
⚫ Proven experience as a project manager, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget;
⚫ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
⚫ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
⚫ Proficiency in project management tools and software;
⚫ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven experience in hardware troubleshooting and repair;
⚫ Strong technical skills and knowledge of hardware diagnostics tools. Skills: Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals. Adaptability: Capacity to adjust plans and strategies in response to changing circumstances. Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Senior Field Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in IBM/HP/DELL servers and other storage troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Experience in managing hardware installation & implementation tasks.
  • Experience in identifying and finding solutions to hardware-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to other junior engineers and knowledge sharing with peers.
  • Provide technical support in troubleshooting and resolution of hardware-related issues.
  • Provide consultation of both IT hardware server and storage solutions.
  • Responsible for being the escalation focal point for monitoring, investigating and handling incidents/cases.
  • Responsible for the escalation of unresolvable cases to the L2 support group in a professional way
  • Responsible for preparing all technical documentation & service provisioning guide.
  • Responsible for conducting knowledge transfer to enable provisioning and delivery teams on new service contracts launched.
  • Responsible for maintaining the BOM list of each of the machines for parts inventory preparation.
  • Responsible for maintaining good relationships with customers and internal resources.
  • Be able to provide onsite service in Hong Kong and other upcoming countries.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.

Requirements:

  • Ideally, candidates should have more than 5 years of experience in a similar capacity and possesses the following:
  • At least in Diploma Computer Engineering/ Science or a related discipline
  • Strong Server and Storage hardware configuration knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Be a quick learner in acquiring new system skills and working with new technologies.
  • Capable of using the operating system: Microsoft Windows, Unix, ESX and Linux are preferable.
  • Proficiency in solving computer hardware-related issues for IBM, DELL and HP
  • Be able to provide step-by-step technical assistance in both written and verbal manner.
  • Strong sense of customer service and team efficiency
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Able to provide non-office hours standby and support service.
