Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the Hotel engineering team to maintain the efficient operation of 4 hotel properties;
• Plan and implement short-term and long-term maintenance programs for all major E&M plants and equipment including preventative measures. Ensure all equipment and plants including chiller system, refrigeration, HVAC, security system, plumbing, water treatment, electricity and boiler systems, etc. are in sound operational condition;
• Develop and implement all Policy and Procedure in all related areas including the safety guidelines;
• Ensure that a comprehensive record of equipment maintenance, manuals, logs and procedures;
• Ensure that a supply of inventory necessary for optimal operating efficiency is maintained;
• Promote energy conservation programs by monitoring utility costs and consumption;
• Monitor the standard of work carried out by outside contractors engaged by the hotel to ensure that it meets the agreed quality in a timely manner;
• Assist in the hotel renovation project and other building projects of the group in matters relating to E&M;
• Ensure the compliance of all government regulations, all safety and emergency procedures are in place and all safety policies are followed by the team; and
• Perform any assignments and ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or equivalent with relevant professional qualifications.
• 8 -10 years or above relevant experience in hotel industry with 3 - 5 years in a managerial capacity.
• Self-motivated, detail-minded, positive attitude, and ability to work independently.
• Sound resources and cost management.
• Strong in leadership with good problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered for the role of Group Chief Engineer.
