Overview:

The Head of Private Banking Credit Management is a critical leadership role within the bank. This position oversees and manages a team responsible for credit approval and credit control for high-net-worth individuals. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring compliance with policies, and making complex credit decisions.

Your new role

• Team Leadership and Management:
  Lead and manage a team of credit approval officers and credit controllers.
  Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members.
  Monitor team performance, ensure adherence to policies, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Credit Approval and Control: Evaluate credit applications from high-net-worth clients.
  Assess clients' financial status and creditworthiness.
  Analyze risks associated with loan requests.
  Make informed credit decisions based on available data.
  Set up payment plans and maintain accurate records of loan applications.
• Policy Adherence and Compliance:
  Ensure that credit policies and procedures are followed.
  Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  Implement best practices for credit management.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in private banking credit management.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and credit scoring models.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make sound credit decisions in complex scenarios.
• Experience working with high-net-worth clients is preferred.
