Engineer (Ref. 240507006-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) facilitate student learning and development, and to develop corresponding curriculum and pedagogy;

(b) lead and coordinate student learning modules and subjects, and to promote teaching quality among colleagues;

(c) lead and organise research support and knowledge transfer activities;

(d) organise and implement strategic actions, regulations and procedures of the assigned technical Stream;

(e) lead and organise essential operations of the assigned technical Steam;

(f) assist in resources deployment and performance evaluation of the assigned technical Steam;

(g) work closely with stakeholders in the University, industrial partners and clients; and

(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Centre or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a higher degree or a recognised degree in Science, Engineering or a related discipline;

(b) at least five years of work experience in innovation and entrepreneurship sector, particularly in one or more of the following activities will be an advantage: Start-up guidance and support, hands-on workshop development, makerlab management, and organisation of study tours;

(c) ability to work with students from different backgrounds to establish special interest group; and

(d) a good command of both written and spoken English, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.

Applicants with experience in serving university students will be a definite advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
