The role is reporting to Risk and Business Management Team in Hang Seng Insurance Company (“HSIC”), the Business Compliance Manager is responsible for the implementation of the Group Financial Crime Policy and ensures all related controls are effective and implemented within target completion date. The Business Compliance Manager is also expected to collabratively work with other stakeholders (incl. Global Insurance, Financial Crime Compliance, WPB, ORM, Insurance Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Third Party Risk etc.).

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Business Information Risk Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

• Assist Hang Seng Insurance CDO to lead, drive and support data strategy initiatives
• Oversee and contribute to the implementation of policy and governance frameworks, to ensure effective risk management and regulatory compliance
• Perform assessment & provide consultancy on business initiatives ensuring the compliance on Group Data Management controls, BCBS239, Data Privacy etc.
• Perform as enabler to accelerate the deployment and data migration to modern cloud platform (GCP)
• Facilitate the ramp up data analytics capabilities (skillset and mindset) with support
  from Group & HASE
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the Group & Bank (Business, Functions, IT, Risk Stewards) to align directives and deliverables

Qualifications

• University degree in Information Engineering / Computer Science or other relevant qualifications, with professional qualifications such as FLMI/LOMA an advantage
• Minimum of 8 years solid banking/insurance experience. Proven experience in data management & analytics definitely preferred
• Strong business sense, with good communication, analytical, problem solving and project management skills as well as sound knowledge of application software
• Self-motivated with positive attitude to work independently. Good time management to ensure work is actioned efficiently and within compliance regulations
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
