JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Engineering will lead and oversee all engineering operations across the hotels of the group, ensuring the effective planning, execution, and management of infrastructure, facilities, and technical systems at a global scale. This role will focus on delivering innovative solutions to enhance guest experiences, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with international safety and environmental standards. The Vice President of Engineering will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering strategies with the organization’s strategic goals, while fostering a culture of innovation, sustainability, and excellence.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategic Leadership

  • Define and implement a global engineering strategy aligned with the Group’s growth objectives and brand vision.
  • Champion innovation in building design, systems, and operational practices to enhance guest experience and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead and inspire high-performing engineering teams across multiple regions.

Development & Project Management

  • Oversee the planning, design, construction, and technical delivery of new hotel developments and pre-opening projects.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with brand standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project methodologies, risk management, and quality control.

Operations & Infrastructure

  • Ensure optimal performance and maintenance of building systems, infrastructure, and technical operations across all properties.
  • Implement preventive maintenance and asset management programs to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Introduce cutting-edge technologies and digital solutions to enhance operational performance.

Compliance & Sustainability

  • Guarantee compliance with international safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead the adoption of sustainable practices, energy-efficient technologies, and green building standards.
  • Position the Group as a leader in hospitality sustainability and innovation.

Talent Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering leaders across all regions.
  • Foster a culture of professional growth, cross-border collaboration, and continuous improvement.

PERSON REQUIREMENT:

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management (required).
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline (preferred).

Years of Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering leadership experience, with at least 5 years at a senior executive level.

Area of Experience

  • Proven track record in large-scale hospitality, real estate, or mixed-use development projects.
  • Extensive experience in hotel pre-opening, construction, commissioning, operational handover, and corporate hospitality office is preferred.

Other Professional Qualifications / Technical Skills / Knowledge Required

  • Advanced knowledge of building systems, infrastructure, and energy management.
  • Strong project management expertise, with proficiency in global standards and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing sustainability and smart-building technologies.
  • Deep understanding of international compliance in safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable results.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in complex environments.
  • Commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence.

Language Proficiency

  • Fluency in English (required).
  • Additional language skills relevant to the Group’s operating regions (preferred).
