Assistant Manager, Product Development (General Insurance)

Main Responsibilities:

• Originate new products to cope with business partners, customer needs and business models
• Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones
• Coordinate the end-to-end product development process including liaison with stakeholders to fulfil the requirements of governance, pricing, product features and policy wording
• To oversee product development projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis relating to product development
• Negotiation with third parties to perform research or other applicable studies to support business
• Plan and provide product training materials to internal stakeholders distribution, call-centre team, etc., to facilitate understanding of product knowledge for sales and service
• Support to design end to end sale journey from product perspective
• Ad hoc project requests from the management to accommodate business needs
• Support the maintenance and review of product materials including policy wording, product marketing materials, social media message

Incumbent Requirements:

• University graduate or above; insurance-related qualification would be an advantage
• Preferred with a minimum of 3 years' experience in product development / claim handling of general insurance products (Experience in Health Insurance would be an advantage)
• Process orientation; demonstrated ability to develop repeatable processes or improve existing processes in and out of product development
• Project management skills; will have demonstrated the ability to push projects over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution; will understand how to align resources, seek the input of key constituents, and manage others to achieve desired results;
• Open and collaborative style; must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged;
• Proficient in spoken and written English, Chinese and be competent in MS Office applications
