Description

• Act as the primary gatekeeper for engineering change orders and ensure smooth qualification of tooling and parts for ongoing production.
• Support advanced PPAP approvals and regulatory reporting for in-market products.
• Lead investigations into design and manufacturing issues using structured methodologies such as DOE and root cause analysis.
• Implement initiatives to enhance product functionality and reduce costs without compromising quality standards.
• Partner with Quality teams to analyze product returns and feed improvements into the change process.
• Identify and validate alternative electronic components to safeguard supply continuity.
• Drive enhancements in manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and quality.
• Engage with NPD/NPI teams early in development to support second-source validation and DFMA activities.
• Assume responsibility for products transitioned into production, including managing product variations.
• Contribute to lean improvement projects at manufacturing partners.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering or a related field
• 10-15 years' experience in small domestic appliances or consumer electronics
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, die casting, SMT).
• Advanced MS Office skills and proficiency in problem-solving tools.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; excellent communication skills.
• Adaptable, self-driven, and comfortable with frequent travel.
