Po Leung Kuk is a well-established charitable organization in Hong Kong and has been serving the local community for 147 years. The Kuk provides multifaceted and quality social, educational, youth, recreational, cultural services and medical and integrated health services to all ages in the community through its over 300 service units. It attends to more than 2,700,000 visits for services per year in the past 3 years with about 45,000 students of its affiliated schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist overseeing the functions of the Department, and formulating, implementing and managing all fund raising events programmes to support the strategic development of the Kuk;
- Lead a small team in the planning and implementation of fundraising programmes, including carrying out donor segmentation, formulating marketing plan, liaising with different stakeholders, writing and vetting donation appeals, speeches, press releases, features, correspondences and overseeing any other logistics as well as publicity for the promotion of the programmes to achieve Kuk’s objectives;
- Prepare fundraising proposals and related communication materials;
- Assist to broaden donors’ database with a view to maximizing the effectiveness of fund-raising programmes;
- Assist to engage donors and explore opportunities to bring in new source of donation; and
- Carry out other general administrative duties including management of departmental matters and supervision of staff.
Requirements:
- Recognized university degree with at least 8 years of experience in fund-raising, marketing, public relations and/or event management including middle management or supervisory level;
- Experience in large scale event management including fund-raising campaigns;
- Possess established social network with commercial sectors being a definite advantage;
- Able to work independently for multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines;
- Excellent communications in English and Chinese, with analytical, critical mindset and good writing skills;
- Proactive, passionate for work, mature and able to work under pressure.
