The Opportunity: Director of Vendor Partnerships & Manufacturing Operations- Company: Multinational Toys Company – Hong Kong is the APAC regional sourcing office
- Work Location: Hong Kong, Dongguan, APAC
- Reports to: APAC COO

- Regional offices manage vendor relationships, production schedules, and supply chain operations

Role Summary- Lead strategic vendor partnerships and oversee manufacturing operations across China and APAC
- Design and implement production strategies, manage capacity and inventory, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure vendors deliver exceptional quality, on‑time performance, and cost efficiency aligned with global supply chain goals
Position Overview- End‑to‑end responsibility for vendor management and manufacturing operations across the APAC region
- Strengthen vendor partnerships, optimize manufacturing footprint, and enforce compliance with company standards
- Inspire and lead a high‑performing team to achieve operational excellence and exceed production targets
Ideal Candidate Profile- Bachelor’s degree holder
- 10+ years of progressive experience in production control, supply chain, and vendor management in toys or consumer products
- Proven success in building and leading high‑performing teams
- Strong knowledge of global manufacturing processes and international supply chain dynamics
- Experience negotiating and managing third‑party inspection/auditing firms
- Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel frequently across China and APAC
Key Responsibilities- Lead vendor partnerships and manufacturing operations across China and APAC
- Develop and execute production strategies to ensure on‑time shipments and optimal capacity utilization
- Establish and lead a team to monitor vendor reporting, audit data, and performance grading
- Implement systems for forecasting, planning, and monitoring production capacity across all sites
- Proactively address potential delays and act as on‑site problem solver to safeguard customer timelines
- Drive initiatives to exceed shipment targets and maintain accurate production records
- Collaborate with product development, engineering, quality assurance, and legal teams to embed operational excellence
- Negotiate agreements with third‑party inspection/auditing firms and secure dedicated personnel across APAC
- Build and enforce a vendor management framework with clear performance metrics and corrective action plans
- Oversee vendor contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
- Conduct regular factory monitoring with team members, documenting production status and risks
