Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Electrical Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following duties:
To lead the technical staff in preparation of conceptual and detailed designs, budget and technical specifications for power development projects
To perform tender evaluations and make recommendations
To perform check on documents/drawings submitted by contractors and monitor project progress
To perform safety and quality control inspections, testing and commissioning and monitor the related site progress
To liaise with internal parties, contractors and external parties including government authorities and public stakeholders on project matters and environmental, health and safety issues
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant working experience and with Corporate Membership of the HKIE
Familiar with relevant local and international regulations, procedures, standards and codes of practice
Knowledge in project engineering, coordination and contract administration
Experience in designs and implementations in at least one of the following areas:-
Generation system and associated HV/MV/LV electrical equipment
EHV and HV systems for Transmission Network
Holder of a valid class 1 and 2 driving license an advantage
Proficient in computer applications including MS Office
Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written
Candidate with less relevant experience and/or lower qualifications may be considered for the positions of Project Engineer II, Engineer I or Engineer II.
