What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensure distribution processes adhere to international standards, focusing on service levels, on-time deliveries, and inventory accuracy to exceed customer expectations.
  • Oversee the optimization of WMS and TMS to achieve workload balancing, mileage savings, and better resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute logistics solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations and support business growth
  • Lead the team in conducting various internal and external audits to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Promote a culture of safety by conducting audits, participating in safety meetings, and directly engaging with staff on safety practices.
  • Ensure all distribution equipment and facilities are properly maintained and operational.
  • Plan and approve operational revenues and expenses, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Prepare strategic plans and annual operational budgets to support long-term business success.
  • Build and enhance the performance of the operations team through leadership, motivation, coaching, training, and job enrichment.
  • Develop and execute succession plans and personal development plans to ensure a robust talent pipeline.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years solid experience in distribution or logistics, including 4 years in a managerial capacity, preferably within the cold chain, FMCG, or 3PL sector
  • Experience in managing transportation suppliers and third-party vendors
  • Hands-on experience in leading a transport fleet with technical knowledge of commercial vehicles, particularly refrigerated trucks
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience using logistics management software and tools.
