CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited is a Licensed Bank registered in Hong Kong, which is formerly known as Wing Lung Bank. Founded on 25th February 1933, CMB Wing Lung Bank is among the oldest local Chinese banks in Hong Kong. In 2008, CMB Wing Lung Bank was acquired by China Merchants Bank (CMB). In 2009, the Bank has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of CMB. In 2018, the Bank has renamed as CMB Wing Lung Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Review / develop operational risk management, operational resilience and business continuity management policies and procedures
  • Perform as a second line of defense, provide operational risk management, operational resilience and business continuity management expertise, effective governance and oversight by working closely with businesses and providing the necessary challenge
  • Handle / assist in the operational risk management projects such as Basel
  • Conduct the stress test of operational risk management
  • Ensure adequate business continuity planning and testing is completed, coordinate the Annual Bank wide BCP Drill and various BCP test plans, conduct post-test evaluation to identify improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate respective parties to implement the operational resilience and business continuity management activities, e.g. evaluation of Business Impact Analysis (BIA), review of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and related documents. Provide advice and guidance to the departments on their documents
  • Prepare the operational risk training materials and promote operational risk management, operational resilience and business continuity management awareness
  • Assist in the self-assessment on various regulatory requirements and regulator onsite / offsite examination
  • Assist in the execution of relevant responsibilities of RMC (Risk Management Committee) and RC (Risk Committee) according to the Terms of Reference, including assisting in preparation of various management reports submitted to Head Office, Senior Management, and committees on a regular basis
  • Assist in the ad hoc reports or exercises

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in in Business / Finance or other financial related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant banking experience, having experience in internal control or audit area is a bonus
  • Qualification in ECF is preferred
  • Holder of Associate Operational Risk Management Professional (AORP) or Certified Operational Risk Management Professional (CORP) or Certificate of operational risk management related (e.g. FRM, CPA, CIA) will be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, management reporting and project management concepts
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered as senior position
