The HKUST MBA Programs is searching for a self-motivated individual to fill the position of Assistant Manager to provide administrative and operational support to the MBA programs. Key duties include, but are not limited to the following areas:

  • Student Affairs: Support student affairs by promptly and professionally handling inquiries, organizing enrichment and networking activities, and preparing program presentations and announcements. The ideal candidate will build positive, professional relationships with students and offer valuable advice and solutions to their inquiries.

  • Course Support: Assist with course preparation, operation, and delivery. Responsibilities include class scheduling, venue booking, purchasing textbooks and course materials, obtaining copyright clearance, preparing student profiles, making class announcements, and providing on-site or online support during classes.

  • Online Courses and Initiatives Support: Work closely with the internal team and external vendors to prepare and develop materials for online courses such as shooting with the faculty, and other learning initiatives to enhance the overall student experience.

  • Project Planning: Coordinate and arrange relevant support on various events/ webinars hosted by MBA Office. Coordinate different new initiatives for the MBA programs, and cross-team process alignment to enhance operational efficiency, e.g. system integration, process re-design, etc.

  • Administrative and Ad-hoc Support: Handle daily administrative tasks and documentation and provide ad-hoc support as requested by supervisors.

    Applicants should have a good honors degree with at least at least 5 years of post-qualification work experience (Assistant Manager). The ideal candidate should be a good team player with a proactive work attitude, high adaptability to changes, and the capability of multi-tasking. A strong sense of urgency, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in various software, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), are required. Working outside normal office hours and on occasional weekends may be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable) Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
